Ready, Set, Go Phi Lambda Upsilon 5k Fun Run Race Description

We hold an annual 5K fun run, named READY, SET, GO! or Running for Education And Delivering
Youths’ Science Equipment To Generate Opportunity, aimed at funding grant proposals from science and
math teachers at K-12 schools in the Brazos Valley for science education equipment. Over the past ten
years, the 5K fun run event has continually grown to include over 100 participants, and we are actively
working to get our largest turnout at this year’s run, which will be held on November 4
th, 2023. The money
generated from this activity is used to support the event and the grant awards. The event has promoted the
participation of our local teachers, parents, and students in both science education and the community.
