Sickle Cell Houston Walk

 The Sickle Cell Houston's Amazing Race & 5k/1k is to raise awareness of sickle cell disease, its lack of resources, the heath disparity, and the everlasting inequalities associated with being born with the rare condition.  Your participation helps us send the most powerful message of unity, hope, and triumph to the survivors of this devastating genetic disorder. The walk’s proceeds support to families affected by sickle cell and providing education about the disease, its progressive nature, as well as educate the sickle cell community on research and therapeutic development.  WHILE THERE IS NO UNIVERSAL CURE, we try our best to make life a little brighter for those living with this disease.  A LIVE & virtual experience like no other, let's journey together with a WARRIOR WALK THROUGH THE WARDS

Option 2: 7665 steps a day = # of days for the sickle cell disease community to receive only 3 new therapeutic options since 1998; that's 21 YEARS
