Run for Green Valleys Race Description
The Run for Green Valleys presents a day of fun and friendly competition in the beautiful countryside of northern Chester County! Two trail races begin and end at Welkinweir arboretum and nature preserve, the home of Green Valleys Watershed Association. Take part in the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk around the nature preserve, or test yourself in the 3.5-mile Trail Race along the scenic and rugged Horse-Shoe Trail! Both races are professionally timed. Awards will be given immediately after the races to the top finishers in the Trail Race in several age categories. Runners who register by August 29 are guaranteed a race t-shirt; all participants will be given a "goody bag".
Proceeds from the Run for Green Valleys support watershed restoration projects in northern Chester County. Experience the "green valleys" we strive to preserve!
