Remembering Gunnar 5K Run/Walk/PBCC/CHD Awareness

The 2nd Annual Remembering Gunnar has 4 purposes:

1. To Remember Gunnar, my son, he passed at 12 days old due to surgery complications from a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) on 1/31/2015.

2. To raise CHD Awareness. CHD's are often not prenatally diagnosed; states do not require testing before discharge of newborns.  A baby is born with a CHD every 15 minutes.

3. To raise funds for Paran Baptist Foundation Mutual Fund for PBCC.

4. To encourage and active lifestyle. As a veteran of 20 years, I love to see people up and moving!

Post race refreshments will be provided.

Trophies to top 3 male and female.

Medals for top 3 male and female in standard age groups.

Cash award for fastest GA Guard Member (Army or Air) Male & Female.

Cash Award for fastest stroller, with child.

Scenic Course 3.1 miles. Registration starts 8am. Kids run starts 8:30am. 5k starts 9am. Directions- Take exit 188 off interstate 75. Go passed the Shell station on right. Church is approx 10-12 miles on right across from Blount Rd. The road that the church is off of HWY 42(23) runs from Forsyth to Jackson. GPS the trading post may be helpful.
