Race Description

Are you a tough pumpkin? Find out this October 28 in Baton Rouge!

This is no ordinary 5k.

This 3.14 mile long race on the Mississippi River Levee is exactly 200 feet longer than a 5k. And, it is Baton Rouge's only Halloween costume race!

Take the Tough Pumpkin Challenge and run "the pi" while holding a pumpkin!

All participants will receive a finisher's medal. A special medal will be awarded to those completing the Tough Pumpkin Challenge. Additional prizes will be awarded by age group.

Stick around after for awards, contests, food and entertainment in Halloween Town! Then, watch the Baton Rouge Halloween Parade roll by at 2 p.m.! Halloween Town Contests include: Costume Contest, Pumpkin Carving Contest, and Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest!

The Pumpkin Pi 3.14 Mile Race and Tough Pumpkin Challenge is an official event of the Fifolet Halloween Festival. The festival is a 4 day Halloween extravaganza in Baton Rouge which benefits 10/31 Consortium. Be sure to follow the Fifolet Halloween Festival on Facebook for updates on Halloween Town contest registration and all other festival events!

Not into running but still want to help? Please consider volunteering or create a fundraising team instead! Fundraising teams that raise the most money will be recognized at the Halloween Parade's Royalty Brunch on October 29, 2017.
