Join us for a patriotic start to July 4th. The day of family fun begins with the 10th Annual Ocean Pines Freedom 5K.
This race will start and finish at our beautiful Veteran's Memorial Park.

Event details and schedule:
Race is held at 8am at Veterans Memorial Park located at 11444 Cathell Road, Ocean Pines, MD. Free parking is available across the street at the Library or Taylor Bank
"Day Of" race registration will begin at 7:15am and the fee is $40.
Pre-Reg. pickup will be at O.P. Recreation & Parks Dept. 239 Ocean Pkwy. Ocean Pines, MD July 3rd, 3 - 6pm
** T-shirts are included for all registered participants. Sizes not guaranteed for DAY OF Registration.
After the race:
The Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks Department will host a day of fun at the Veterans Memorial site from 5pm - 830pm. DJ playing great music, Carnival Games, Bounce Houses, Dry Slides, and lots of food and fun!
Stay with us because this year the fireworks will be in the same location starting at 5:00pm. Beautiful location, Flying high above the South Gate Pond.
The fee for the carnival wristband of fun is $10 per participant for 3 and 1/2 hours of fun!!!!

I cannot find myself in the results even though I registered race day and received an email confirmation of my registration. I have contacted the race organizer but no one has responded. If someone would contact me I’d gladly change my review as I really enjoy this low key race. I have also noticed that none of the results include bib numbers over 500 which would be all the race day entries. In addition, I was among the top women and I know that by 22:15 at least 5 women had finished but the results report a third place womens time of 22:32.

Highly recommend. Super chill. Was a bummer it was hard to tell where in the race you were. Saw a review that said that the star spangled banner was not played, but it was. Someone sang it. Mile markers would have been perfect!

It was a really fun race, but we were very disappointed that the Star Spangled Banner was not played prior to the start.

Where are the results? Can't find them posted anywhere. If you can't make them available in a timely fashion, I can't give a positive review!
