Dash for Dignity 2016 offers a 5K run and 1 mile fun run.
The 23rd Annual Clay Cooley Dash for Dignity is a 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk/Roll and Family Fair benefiting Citizens Development Center's (CDC) programs for disabled veterans and other adults with disabilities in need of employment. The Dash takes place on Saturday, September 24, and attracts runners and non-runners from all areas of the Metroplex. The course start and finish will be on Fuller Drive, with much of the race taking place on West Las Colinas Blvd. A post-race party is planned with fantastic food, street fair activities, music, raffles and more supplied generously by our Sponsors.
Dash Emcee since 1993, Mike Doocy (Sports Anchor at KDFW Fox 4) has been the driving force behind the Dash's success. We anticipate more than 1,000 attendees and the event reaches hundreds of thousands of DFW area residents thanks to our generous media partners, Dash Team Captains, and definitely through social media!
All proceeds from the event will increase the employment resources and life-skills programs offered annually to over 500 disabled veterans and other adults with disabilities that take pride in a job well done, in the money they earn, and above all, in becoming independent!
