Paint the Parks Pink 5K Race Description
This 5K race is part of my senior project to raise awareness of and funds for breast cancer in both women and men. The Paint the Parks Pink 5K race will take place on June 9, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. at Mill Race Park. My goal is to raise a total of $4,600 from this event and additional donations. This is the amount needed to sponsor my dad and me to participate in the Susan G Komen 3-Day, a 3-day, 60-mile walk. All the funds ultimately benefit the Susan G Komen organization. Since my dad was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in June 2017, this event is very near and dear to my heart.
