Out Run the Stigma

Southern Iowa Mental Health Center is on a mission to "Outrun the Stigma" of mental health disorders. Join the fun and celebrate mental health awareness! This 5K fun run/walk will be held at Ottumwa Park and will begin at the Jimmy Jones Shelter on October 14, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. We are mixing it up this year by adding a 1 mile costume fun run/walk!

Registration is $20. Registration includes one t-shirt, bib, and goody bag! Pre-packet pick-up will be held on 10/13/23 from 5-6 PM at Southern Iowa Mental Health Center. Same day packet pick up and registration will start at 9:00 AM the day of the race. T-shirts will only be guaranteed for those who register BEFORE 10/1/23.

New this year is the 1 mile fun run/walk! This is a perfect opportunity to get the whole family active and have some fun! Wear your best costume and be entered in a raffle for an AWESOME gift basket! Must be present to win!

Can't make it to the fun run? No problem! We are offering the Outrun the Stigma Virtual 5K fun run again this year! Run, walk, or bike the race wherever and whenever! Registration is $25 and includes registration fee, t-shirt, goodie bag and bib that will be mailed to you! 

 Join us after the race for some music, raffle, & fun! A local food vendor will be joining us to have food for purchase after the race! Each participant is automatically entered into the raffle upon registering. Additional tickets can be purchased day of. Must be present to win. More information to come!
