Miles of Hope 1M 5K VIRTUAL RACE
MEDALS CAN BE PICKED UP ON
AUGUST 31, 2020 at Lake Merritt near Boathouse
EVERY 1M OR 5K FINISHER GETS A MEDAL
Following up with our November 2019 event to honor veterans, NFL Linebacker Tahir Whitehead and Run Life's Course will be presenting the Miles of Hope 5K 1M challenge open to kids and adults.
All net proceeds will be donated to Back On My Feet which focuses on providing a second-chance for those who have fallen on hard times (especially veterans) and need shelter, job training, financial literacy, career guidance and placement, and housing placement within 60 - 120 day time frames.
Medal Pickup
Lake Merritt, next to Boathouse opposite of the picnic tables, between 6PM - 8PM PST.
If you can't complete the distance until the following weekend, the medal will be mailed to you.
PARKING
- Free on 1st street and around Lake Merritt
- Parking near the start at the Boating Center is $5 (Enter at Park View Terrace at Grand).
- Metered parking is available on Grand.
Public transportation is encouraged as the best BART station is Lake Merritt.
