No Child Wet Behind - South Florida Race Description
Mainstay Doulas & Co. is proud to present the 1st Annual No Child Wet Behind Diaper Drive Fundraiser, 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run followed by family friendly activities. The race will take place on Juen 10th, 2017 at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah, FL. All diapers and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Miami Diaper Bank, Florida's ONLY diaper bank providing diapers for low-income families in need. This 5K event is a culmination of fundraising and diaper drive efforts in the months leading up to the event.
The 5K and 1 mile family fun run will start and end in Amelia Earhart park. Run each course along tree-lined, paved road looping around the park.
Participants are encouraged to wear their race day shirts to show their support for the cause.
The event includes music, a Vendor Expo featuring local businesses, food trucks, and a Family Fun Area with bouncy castles, face-painting and a local Hialeah Fire Station Ladder Truck for the kids to explore and learn about.
The 5K Team Run will compete for the Miami Diaper Championship. This is an exciting chance for you and fellow co-workers or friends to each run the 5K. The team that raises the most funds will receive the Miami Diaper Award and the title of Miami Diaper Champions.
Online registration closes 6/6/17. Late registration will be available at packet pick-up on 6/7/17 and on Race day.
