FIGHTER RUN 5K       
CORNHOLE FOR THE CAUSE 

Sign up today for the annual New Market 5k Fighter Run! This year, the event is in memory of Karen Durbin who was the New Market Town Clerk and face to many for over 14 years, whom subsequently passed away in November 2020 after her long battle with breast cancer.

The race has been moved to Sunday, October 23rd, you and fellow fighters will walk/run a 3.1 mile course through the historic town of New Market and adjacent neighborhoods. This is a family friendly event and all ages are welcome. The race is entirely volunteer staffed, and all facilities are 100% donated — net proceeds will be  donated locally to the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund partnered with Frederick Health Hospital Cancer fund; non-profit 501(c)(3) tax status.

Same day race registration begins at 8 AM. Race starts at 9 AM sharp. Stick around after the race for food and awards. ADDITIONALLY, a cornhole competition (CORNHOLE FOR THE CAUSE) will begin at noon, along with local businesses, food sales, local beer and wine and of course live music with a great local band! 

Parking is available on Main Street, the Community Park and at the Grange located on 14 South Alley.
