Moove Your Hooves 2023 Race Description
Moove Your Hooves is the Cross Country & Track and Field Club at UC Davis' signature event and fundraiser distance race, open to the community. The course is a scenic 5K through iconic sections of campus, and proceeds go to our general fund, which keeps dues, uniform, and travel costs down throughout the year for all members.
Starting from the track, the course winds through the Arboretum, past the cow pastures, along Memorial Union and the Silo, down California Avenue, and back to the track. Community racers start in Wave 1 and win prizes for beating Wave 2, club members dressed as "cows" who begin with a 2-minute delayed start!
Prizes are also issued by age category, and usually come from local sponsors, such as Fleet Feet Sports and Davis Creamery. After the race, participants enjoy fresh food, including fruit, treats, recovery snacks, and beverages.
