Mission Citizen Community Fun Run Race Description

Come run with Mission: Citizen! Join us for a day on the Lincoln High School track with fun activities and delicious food provided.

We are a local non-profit run by high schoolers. We provide free citizenship classes to the community to prepare for the civics portion of the naturalization exam. We also work to help people afford the test by giving scholarships to qualified students. In the past year, we have made the decision to increase the amount given through these scholarships to match the increase in price to take the exam. It is a lot of money to apply (it varies but usually comes out to around $700) and many students are dependent on these scholarships. As you can imagine, serving so many students with such high price scholarships can get expensive. With your help though, we can afford to help more students in the Portland area become citizens.
