Miles of Smiles

Tragically Lexi was taken from this earth by an inattentive driver who failed to yield and t-boned her.  Lexi was a beautiful, young woman with a heart so compassionate she always put others before herself.  She helped out the underdogs and had a loving and caring heart. was an advocate against bullying, and always looked at her friends from the inside out.  Lexi preferred to spend time with her family, especially her mom since it was just the two of them for 14 years, they had a great relationship, a closeness and bond that was indescribable.  She stopped over at her grandparents at least twice a day just to brighten their lives, it was an amazing love for them, as most teenagers at that age don’t take the time to see their grandparents.  When she was 14, a man named Andy,  came into her mom's and Lexi’s life.  It took sometime, but Lexi formed a closeness and bond to the man she had now called dad.  She enjoyed spending time with him, just hanging out and having fun!

Lexi was very dedicated to everything she did, school work, always doing extra credit even when she had an A in the class.  She gave 150% to everything she did.  Lexi’s athletic abilities were amazing, she is known at a National level for her softball pitching abilities, defense and offense and had many D-1 softball teams scouting her.  She also loved to play volleyball.  Her goal in life was to become a Pediatric Nurse, she loved children and wanted to make a difference in their lives in a caring way and hopefully save lives.  She even worked two jobs this past summer for Park and Recreation Programs so that she could be with children. 

 

Upon Lexi’s departure from this earth, she became a HERO.  Her family knew she would want her organs donated to save lives.  She was able to donate her liver and heart valves.  Her liver was immediately sent to a man out of state who was married and had two children and the transplant was successful.

Lexi’s family, friends, teachers, coaches and team mates deeply miss her.  Her impact on those around her made a difference in their lives by showing them to always give 150% in everything you do and smile as you’re doing it because it will make you succeed or do better.​
