Lindsey Raines Memorial Scholarship 5K Run/Walk Race Description

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Raines began hosting a poker run to fund a memorial scholarship for their daughter, Lindsey, nine years ago. To date, they have given over $74,000 to students in Fayette and Greenbrier counties. The WV June 23, 2016, flood destroyed items purchased for the poker run scheduled for September 10th. The Raines' business, Western Auto of Rainelle, was flooded as well. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the scholarship poker run in September. Out of their heartache they have given so much to their community. It is now time for the community to give to them.

The entry fee is $20.00 per participant. Participants registered by 7/23/16 will be guaranteed a t-shirt and all participant winners will receive an award. The top three male and female overall finishers will receive trophies and the top finishers in each age group will receive medals.

Age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Donations and volunteers are greatly appreciated!

Pre-registration is available online now. Registration is also available the day of the event.
