Kewash Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

The Kewash Half Marathon, 10K, & 5K is a scenic trail run located in the town of Washington, Iowa.

Runners will make a one mile loop through town before heading into Sunset Park where the 5K and 10K runners will branch off while the half marathoners head straight for the Kewash trail. 10K runners will get the chance to head out onto the trail after their loop through Sunset Park. 

The Kewash Trail is a scenic nature trail made from the old railroad tracks that ran through Washington. Our course is very flat, besides a few hills in Sunset Park for our 5K and 10K runners, so that means fast times for our half marathoners! The trail is mostly paved but turns to crushed limestone at around the 4 mile mark. 

At the end of our race you will find awesome medals, good food, free beer and some fun awards! We also have some fun games and activities for children while their family members run our race!
