Jameson VIRTUAL 5K at Southwestern

All proceeds benefit the Jaysn Jameson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Southwestern University. 

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we will have a virtual event this year. This means that you will be able to run or walk on any route that you choose in any location / city you choose. The virtual event will span over Friday, October 23 - Sunday, October 25 so you will have plenty of time to get your run or walk completed and your results uploaded. 

We will not have trophies this year but there is the ability to print out your finisher's certificate after you enter your results. 

In an effort to allow for more funds to go to the Jaysn Jameson Memorial Scholarship Fund (and to potentially save on postage costs) the t-shirts will be optional this year.

The first 150 registrants will get a 2020 Jameson 5K Cooling Towel as part of the registration fee. 

Bibs can be printed from the registration site.

A location for potential packet/t-shirt pickup is being determined for October 23 - October 25 on the campus of Southwestern University for all local participants.

In accordance with IRS guidelines Southwestern University is required to inform you that the fair market value of the Jameson 5K T-shirt is $3.93 and the cooling towel is $3.30.

History- Since 2001, the Jameson 5K at Southwestern has donated more than $171,150 to the Jaysn Jameson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Southwestern. This scholarship was created in memory of Jaysn Jameson, 1990 graduate, who passed away in 1991 in a scuba diving accident. The scholarship is given to a student at Southwestern University that is a Science major, has financial need and is in good standing with the University. These are the same criteria that Jaysn and his sister Kenda had when they attended Southwestern University.
