Inaugural Veteran's Day 5k Run/Walk Race Description

Please join us for our first ever Veteran’s Day 5k Red, White and Blue Run/Walk hosted by Harrisburg High School’s Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Program (NJROTC) on Friday, November 10, 2023.  There will be Food Trucks, a DJ and various displays and activities all provided by different military services.

The 5k Red, White and Blue run will take place in and around the John Harris Campus on Market Street.  Our theme is to illustrate the importance of diversity, inclusion and strength of our military services.  NJROTC is a community based program that provides high school students with the basic skills and abilities to lead, protect and advance everyone they work with.  Leaders create leaders. 

This race supports the NJROTC program and all of the various veteran and civilian organizations that they support.  Giving students the opportunity to excel by providing them with worldwide experiences is key to ensure the educational community is sending students out into the world with the skills and abilities needed in the 21st Century.
