Inaugural TJ Memorial 5K Run/Walk Race Description
This year is the inaugural start to the TJ Memorial 5k Run/Walk in memory of long time Richmond County resident, Todd Jewell, who suddenly passed away on a short run on July 4, 2020. Todd was an avid cyclist and runner and could be found most early Saturday mornings running the streets of Warsaw.
Todd and his wife, Dawn have 3 sons, Josh, Matthew, and Jacob. They all have been active community members who attended Richmond County Public Schools and participated in many sports. The family is excited that Richmond County Public Schools will soon have a community track that can be used by the students of Rappahannock and the community for walking and running. The Jewell family is also excited and honored that all of the proceeds will go directly to the Rappahannock High School Red Track Fund this year.
