This is a 5k fun trail run to raise money for the Oregon Hunters Association Ochoco Chapter youth programs.
The Ochoco OHA chapter is very passionate about getting our youth involved in the outdoors and conservation. We offer scholastic scholarships to high school graduates and college students. We have sponsored internship programs through the US Forest Service as well as the Crook County High School Natural Resources Program. One of our favorite programs is the Hug a Tree program with the Crook County Search and Rescue, we provide the whistles for the kids survival packs. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife host a annual Youth Chucker Hunt and we provide a monetary donation to purchase the birds.
All Runners/Walkers who Pre-Register by Monday February 18th will receive a T-shirt in there packet.
We hope to see you on March 2nd.
