HTFI 5K Run

LIVE/IN-PERSON RACE

Join us at our 17th Annual HTFI 5K Run on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Lincoln Park, Jersey City, NJ.

It's a great way to build your fitness and enjoy the beautiful open space of Lincoln Park in the midst of an urban landscape. Awards will be given to the top finishers in each gender. Of course, we'll have some Pinoy (Filipino) treats and beverages to refresh yourself and to celebrate your great accomplishment! The live/in-person race is currently priced at $45.

For the live/in-person race, all finishers will get a commemorative shirt and medal. 

VIRTUAL RACE

There will also be a virtual option for those who cannot join us in person. You can run on a treadmill, in the park, jog around your neighborhood or walk around your house. Completion is based on an honor system and you track your own time. There will be  four options for our virtual race this year:

• Run for Charity ($30, there will be no shirt nor medal)
• Run for the Shirt ($50, includes shirt plus shipping cost)
• Run for the Medal and Charity ($50, includes medal plus shipping cost)
• Run for the Bling: Shirt and Medal ($60, includes shirt and medal plus shipping cost)

The event was originally organized in 2009 in Jersey City by Handang Tumulong, Foundation, Inc. (HTFI), a 501(c) (3) organization. This annual race has helped us raise funds in support of our mission of helping those affected by devastating natural calamities in the Philippines and other parts of the globe.

VIRTUAL RACE FAQs

Who can register?

This event is open to residents of the U.S. and U.S. Territories only.

I registered for the Virtual 5K to Run for the Shirt/Medal, when can I get my commemorative shirt and medal?

Registered participants will receive their commemorative shirt and/or medal in the mail at the mailing address they submit during the event registration process. Medals will be shipped within three-four weeks after the event completion time frame.

How do I submit my results?

You can submit your results via the "Manage Your Registration" link provided in your confirmation email. Alternatively, you can go to the "Participant" page. Just follow the instructions as provided and submit your results. Note: please provide a screenshot/image of your running activity (from Strava, Garmin, etc.) as proof of completion.

Can I share some pictures of me running?

Absolutely! Please feel free to post them on our HTFI facebook page and tag them with #HTFI5K2026.  

How do I print my digital bib?

Digital bibs can be printed out from the "Manage Your Registration" link provided in your confirmation email. Alternatively, you can go to the "Participant" page. Just follow the instructions as provided and print your bib. 

How do I print my finisher certificate?

Finisher certificates can be printed out from the "Manage Your Registration" link provided in your confirmation email. Alternatively, you can go to the "Participant" page. Just follow the instructions as provided and print your certificate. We would like to suggest printing your certificate after the event completion time frame to ensure all participants are able to submit results; allowing our race platform to calculate accurate placements.
