The Hippo Run is an exciting and challenging off-road 5k fun run/1k walk organized to raise funds/ scholarships for individuals with special needs. All proceeds benefit Simple Changes therapeutic riding center. Whether you are a competitive runner or just enjoy participating, the Hippo Run offers beautiful scenery and rugged terrain on the beautiful trails of the BLM's Meadowood property.
Simple Changes is a non-profit organization in Lorton, VA that provides equine-assisted activities to children and adults with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
