Race Description

Griffith Luau 5k/10k Run/Walk will be a virtual run due to COVID-19. The city is not granting permits for large gatherings therefore Roxx Events as many other events have switched from a traditional running events to a VIRTUAL RUNs for everyone's safety. We will take on the additional work and cost of shipping out your medals and shirts. Every registered participant gets a custom shirt and medal. For those who have never run a virtual run, this means you will have the flexibility to run a 5k or 10k on your own time and any location. We will ship out your goodies a few days before the date of the Virtual run which is schedule to be on August 8, 2020. The virtual run is perfect to motivate family and friends to keep active during this pandemic! This event benefits SUPPORT SOLUTIONS www.supportsolutionssgv.org, a non-profit organization, which helps homeless people find jobs. We will keep you updated on any further changes. Unorganized

I enjoyed the atmosphere. I was disappointed that the national anthem wasn't played. The route was not clearly marked and the workers didn't know the route either. Based on my timing I ran about 1 mile longer than I needed, due to the staff directing us wrong. I felt good after the run, but was a little disappointed in the overall organization. Results for 10k not available after the race.
