Greasy-Gooney 10K Race Description
Come to Warren County, Virginia (an hour west of the DC metropolitan area) for the Shenandoah Valley's most scenic road race! The 18th running of the Greasy-Gooney 10K will take place at 9:00 AM on Saturday 22 October 2016 in Browntown, about eight miles south of Front Royal. Held at the peak of the fall foliage season, our somewhat challenging 6.2 mile road race loops through the foothills of the Blue Ridge, treating runners to gorgeous views of the mountains and countryside. We'll have awards for the top three overall and for the top three in mostly five-year age groups. Entry fees are $20 early and $25 race day with our race premium (an embroidered beanie) or just $12 early/$17 race day without a premium, plus we offer a $1 discount to members of most VA/MD/DC running clubs.
