Gopher Tortoise 3 Miler Race Description
This 3 mile trail run will take you along the trails of the Oakland Nature Preserve. The run begins with a 1 mile road segment, and then on to the Red Trail‘s white sand and slight elevation changes. The trail narrows as you continue the fun under the oaks of the Yellow Trail. The Blue Trail promises open skies and pine trees as you head through the newest restoration area and the Orange Trail. Next, you pass the historic fish cabin and a quick run through the ONP parking area heading to the Green Trail where you will enjoy the shade of the oak hammock. Keep your eyes open for a zebra or emu as you pass by the fence line of Bailey Farm. Finally, it is time to head to the finish line.
