The proceeds of the 2016 FROZEN4 will go to Greenwood High School senior Blake Kirby. Blake was diagnosed with Ataxia, a neurodegenerative disorder that had affected his coordination and balance. He started playing football at age 4 and endured a concussion at practice his freshman year. Due to the injury and his Ataxia, Blake had to quit football. Packet pick-up for participants registering prior to Thursday, January 14 will be from 1-6pm on Friday, January 15 at TRAXrunning - 1240 Fairview Avenue. While all paid entrants are guaranteed a hoodie, sizes may run out but a second order will be placed and available for pickup at a later date. Race Day registration and packet pickup is at 8:00 a.m. at Ephram White Park. Event details and schedule Start time for the 4 mile run will be at 9:00 a.m. and the 2 mile walk will start afterwards. The course is a 2 mile loop with slightly rolling hills. The walking category is a competitive event, so please no RUNNING!!
Everything about this race is great. The committee puts on a great run year after year. The race always benefits a local high school athlete that has a significant health problem. The course is great, with some challenging portions. It gets better every year!
