Escape the Asylum

Half marathon and 10k located in central WV at the Historic Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in downtown Weston, WV. The course is flat and fast, PR should be set.

   Join us for the 1st Annual Escape the Asylum Half Marathon and 10K on May 16, 2020! This road race takes place in one of the East Coast's most historical settings. Along with the beautiful views along the race route, you have the option of touring the Famous Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, downtown shops and restaurants and art studios within walking distance from the start of the race.  Neighboring towns Clarksburg and Buckhannon offer eclectic restaurants, breweries, and live entertainment just miles from the racecourse that make Escape the Asylum Half Marathon and 10k the perfect reason to make this a race for you. Weston is only a half day's drive from major metropolitan areas including Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Columbus.
