Do it for Declan 5K and Fun Run Race Description

 

We cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual Do it For Declan 5K and 1-mile Fun Run, benefiting the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation (CureSFF). Sanfilippo syndrome is a rare and fatal condition in children. It is a rapidly degenerative disease, much like a childhood Alzheimer’s. It causes children to lose all the skills they have gained, suffer seizures, movement disorders and dementia, experience pain and suffering, and then die, often in their teenage years.

CureSFF’s mission is to advocate for patients and fund life-saving research to develop treatment options.

The event will be held in Founders Park, near Wylie High School. Our 1-mile walk/run will precede the 5K. The 5K course follows along Jerry Wayne Combest St and the Founders Park Trail. It is USATF certified and will be chip timed.
