De-feet Breast Cancer Challenge Run Race Description
Bringing back the race this year with a twist of sorts! This time, you will be given a two hour time limit to complete as many 0.85 mile laps as you can. There will be a table with names, and YOU will be responsible for making sure volunteers know you completed a lap. So if you are feeling in the mood for a 5k.... complete for laps for a total of 3.4 miles.... what about a 10k?? Seven laps will give you 5.95 miles, or eight laps 6.8 miles. If you think you can do a half marathon, you can do 16 laps for 13.6 miles.
This race is YOUR race. If you prefer to run a lap, sit down for 10 min and then complete another.... why that is just fine!!! Again, it is your race. You can walk, jog, run.... you can do one lap and call it a day, or shoot for 16+ laps!!!
Cost (for participants 16 years and older) will be $20 prior to race day, $25 day of race. Kids under the age of 16 (so 15 and under), will pay your age!
Awards will be top male and top female, total laps complete. Male and female 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over. Top boy and girl under the age of 16, same thing. Any child who completes six laps (5.1 miles) over the course of two hours will receive a medal.
