De-Feet Breast Cancer 5k Run/Walk with Kids K

This course will take place around the new Bridgeport Recreation Complex. It will be a 3+ loop course, with a kids race of one loop following the 5k walk/run.

There will be raffle tickets available as well to win various baskets of donated items.

This event will help raise funds for Susan G Komen Breast Cancer foundation.  Two local women will be traveling to Atlanta in October to walk 60 miles over three days (and camp in tents) to help raise awareness for breast cancer.  This will be the second walk for one participant, and the twelfth walk for one ambitious woman.  Over the last 11 walks, one woman has helped raise over $28,000 for this amazing cause, and hopes to continue raising awareness until a cure has been found.

***Please register kids for the kids k, however, payment will be due on site. ***To try to get more participants, kids will pay their age (i.e. If your child is 7 years old, his/her cost to participate will be $7) up to age 10. Email me at alyson.piot@yahoo.com with any questions!
