Ready, set, GO!

It's time to lace up your sneakers and gear up your bike as the Laredo Chamber of Commerce proudly presents "Cycle + Steps for Scholarships" a 5K run, walk, & bike event supporting Youth Leadership Laredo, an Education program under the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 

This event is not just an opportunity to have fun and get active, but also a chance to make a meaningful contribution to students in our community. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting scholarships and operating the Youth Leadership Laredo program.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual biker, this event is for you. The route will take you through some of Laredo's most scenic and historic neighborhoods, providing a unique perspective on our community that you won't find anywhere else. Take in the sights and sounds of our vibrant city as you compete with friends, family, and fellow fitness enthusiasts to cross the finish line.

Event: Cycle + Steps for Scholarships

Event Location: Father McNaboe Park, 201 Zebu Ct, Laredo, TX 78045

Event Date: Saturday, April 29, 2023

Same-day registration: 7:00 am

Start Time for Runners and Walkers: 8:00 am

Start Time for Bikers: 9:00 am

Event Swag: The first 300 to register will get a "Swag Bag" that includes the official Event Shirt (moisture-wicking, polyester blend fabric) + promotional items from event sponsors. We promise to deliver a quality swag bag!

Finisher Medals: Guaranteed finisher medals for the first 200 runners and 100 bikers. 

Packet Pick-up: Friday, April 27th, 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at PLA-MOR Entertainment.

The YLL program is designed to empower & create confident, goal oriented, self-driven student leaders that achieve personal success. YLL students are selected in the 8th grade and commit to a 5 year leadership development program that is overseen by the Youth Leadership Laredo Committee. The YLL Committee is composed of leaders representing businesses in various industries that are members of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce. These local leaders collaborate to deliver a 5 year leadership program that develops Laredo’s next generation of leaders.
