Cider Slider 5k Trail Run Race Description

5k trail run at Elk Run Trails. Enjoy the beauty of nature on this fun, winter race!

Masks are required before and after the race but not obviously during the run. Social distancing in place prior to start and at end. Runners/walkers will start out in "heats" dependent upon you're predicted time. Heats of 15 participants will go at 8am, 9am and 10am (additional added if needed) to stay within the Governor's new mandate of 25 at a gathering. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your start time only for temperature check and check-in. Upon exiting, you will receive your swag bag and a cup of hot, homemade cider to take with you. 

Medals and Prizes for Top 3 Male and Female will be mailed.

Great Beginner Trail Race

This 5K begins on a field, goes through some beautiful wide flat trails, and ends in a field behind the local community center. It's the perfect event for those looking to explore trail racing, or for anyone looking to branch out from road racing. The trails are always very well marked. The one draw back is the time of year - the weather can be brutal! But the hot cider and chili afterward make up for it. With good food and good company, i highly recommend this race!
