Chill Your Cheeks 5k Race Description

The City of Yukon’s Park and Recreation Department Chill Your Cheeks 5K will be run on Saturday November 17th. Held annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Chill Your Cheeks 5K coincides with the opening of “Christmas in the Park”, Yukon’s annual Christmas light display.  The race course will start and finish at the Chisholm Trail Pavilion in Chisholm Trail Park.  More than 400 runners from all over the state as well as surrounding states will descend upon Yukon for this great holiday run.

 

The 5K will begin at 5:00 p.m.  The course will close at 6:00 p.m. to open to drive thru traffic.  Runners must be able to finish the 5K in that time frame. In addition to the 5k race, the Jingle Walk will begin at the Small Pavilion in Freedom Trail Park at 5:30 p.m. The Jingle Walk is a one mile stroll through the lights of City Park and then back to Freedom Trail Playground.  Pets and strollers are welcome in the Walk. Pets and strollers will not be allowed on the 5k course.
