Cheryl Diamond Santa Barbara 5K Schlep

The first annual Cheryl Diamond Santa Barbara 5K Schlep will take place on January 12, 2020 at Leadbetter Beach in Santa Barbara.

Partially benefiting the Breast Cancer Resource Center, this event will bring together hundreds of participants from the county, ranging in age from 5 - 90 years old, bound together in solidarity to raise the hopes of those battling breast, ovarian and prostate cancer.

The New York branch was launched in 2011, becoming a one-of-a-kind BRCA event that attracts more than 500 people of all ages. The first annual Santa Barbara 5K Schlep will do exactly the same. Proceeds benefit both the Santa Barbara Resource Center and Rabin Medical Center's BRCA Multidisciplinary Clinic, which provides screening and support services for people who carry mutated BRCA genes -- associated with a high risk of developing breast, ovarian and prostate cancers.
