Brookville YMCA & Western PA CARES for Kids Duathlon, 5K & Community Walk

Unfortunately, due to Covid 19 safety restrictions here in PA, our 2020 event had to be cancelled, but we hope to see you this year!

Join us on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Shelter 2 in the beautiful Cook Forest State Park for our 12th annual race! Our race offers 2 different timed events, a community walk and fun for the whole family!

*The 5K is a 3.1 mile race on a mix of trails and paved roads in Cook Forest. 

*The Duathlon consists of a 3.1 mile run then a 12 mile bike ride and ends with another 2 mile run. Many participate in this event as teams of 2 or 3, but this event can also be done solo.

Both the 5K and the Duathlon events are timed, however, the 2 mile Community Walk event is not timed.

All those who are pre-registered by June 6th will receive a free t-shirt. You may pre-register online at raceentry.com, or in person at the Brookville YMCA on Main Street in Brookville, PA. Last minute participants may register in person on race day at the Day of Race Registration table, beginning at 8am. The Duathlon begins at 9AM, the 5K begins at 10AM, and the Community Walk begins shortly after the 5K begins.

Each participant is encouraged to raise donations for Western PA CARES for Kids. Funds may be raised by creating your own "fundraising team" on raceentry.com after registering for the race, or by making a list on paper and bringing that list with the donations you raised with you on race day. Each participant bringing donations will be entered to win prizes. Any participant raising over $75.00 will be eligible for top prizes which include overnight getaways. The participant with highest amount of donations gets first pick of all prizes.
