This was my first tri and I did the Olympic distance (i.e. 1.5k swim, 26mi bike, 10k run); or at least that’s how it was advertised to us as a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. I the swim leg was an open water swim with no wetsuit and I was clocked at sub-14 min. In you don’t know that’s 4 minutes faster in the water than Tokyo Olympians. Due to rain day before event, T1 and T2 were seperate which is inconvenient but organizers did the best they could with the situation. And we couldn’t deny the beautiful scenery and the weather was perfect! While this was the inaugural event with this Bolivar Live title and sponsor, it was renamed from a previous established legacy Tri so this wasn’t their first rodeo. The event organization was a bit of a cluster-F.
