Billy Goat Mountain Climb Race Description
Billy Goat will run out of Silverado, CA, up Maple Springs Road to N. Main Divide this year. We ran at this location last year and it was beautiful. There may be some creek crossings and a nice long mountain climb with grand views. Maple Springs is located in Trabuco District, Cleveland National Forest just outside of Silverado.

The elevation gain for the full course is approximately 2,560 feet. The elevation gain for the 10k is approximately 1,384 ft.
6:30 - 7:30 am Check-in
7:45 am Race Briefing
8:00 am 1/2 marathon
& 10k start
Cut-off: 1/2 marathon at the half way point (6.5 miles) 10:30 am (2 hrs, 30 min.)
(If you make the cut-off at the half way point, there are no further cutoffs)
Early Starts with Race Director approval (For slower runners only)


Directions to Parking: Take Santiago Canyon Road toward Silverado from El Toro Road, the toll roads, or the city of Orange (E. Chapman turns into Santiago Canyon Road). Turn onto Silverado Canyon Road (on left from Orange/toll roads, on right from El Toro Rd). Take Silverado Canyon Road for about 1.5 miles. The lot is on the right side of the street, directly across the street from The Silverado Community Center at 27641 Silverado Canyon Rd. A shuttle sign will be posted.
