2nd Janie Grace Moss “Be The Light” Run
Join us for a morning of community, remembrance, purpose and come Be The Light. This event honors the vibrant spirit of Janie Grace by bringing us together to shine brightly for the causes she held dear.
As we gather, we are reminded of the words in Matthew 5:16:
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Whether you are a competitive runner, a casual walker, or a supporter from the sidelines, there is a place for you here.

    •    Location: Moss Wright Park
    •    Check-in: 7:00 AM
         Race Start: 8:00 AM

Purpose:

All proceeds will go toward Grace Place Ministry, City of Children Orphanage, Siran Stacey Ministries/Shelly Mae Foundation, Magnolia Foundation, Hendersonville Scholarship and Phoenix Haven continuing Janie Grace’s legacy of kindness and service.

Why We Run

This isn't just about the miles on the pavement; it’s about the impact we leave behind. Janie Grace lived her life with an unwavering faith, joyful spirit, unconditional love and a servant’s heart and through this run, we carry that torch forward. We run to support future generations, to uplift our community , and to ensure that the "light" she shared never fades.
Registration & Participation

    •    5K Run: A timed course for those looking to set a personal best or enjoy a morning stroll.
    •    Kids Run: A shorter distance perfect for children 12 and under.
    •    1 Mile Walk: An untimed walk along the course.

By supporting and participating in the Janie Grace Moss Be the Light 5K, you will demonstrate a profound commitment to education and community development. Your support will directly help students achieve their academic dreams, carrying forward Janie Grace's message of living with love and light.

5k begins at 8:00 am

Kids Run - 8:45 Am (12 and under)

Walk begins at 9:00 am

Registration through July 1st is $35 (plus processing fees). 17 and under participants will receive $10 off when registering.

Registration increases on July 2nd to $45 (plus processing fees). 17 and under participants will receive $10 off when registering.

*Race t-shirts are not guaranteed after July 20th, 2026.*

Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 overall male and female winners in the 5K race

Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 youth runners in the kids race. 

Please be advised, if you choose to bring a stroller, please line up toward the back of the group. We appreciate your understanding on this matter. 

For the safety of all participants, dogs are not allowed on the course at the 5k or walk event. 

PARKING: Please follow the parking signs once you enter the park.

The event will be held rain or shine. All registrations are final.

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP:
Race packets can be picked up on race day from 6:45 to 7:45am
