Race Description:

The Atlantic Beach Fun Run offers participants an enjoyable, stress free, athletic view of the historic beach side community, The Black Pear.  Beginning along the picturesque Ocean Boulevard, runners will travel through the community with a close-up view of the historic homes and businesses with notable architectural features and brick artistry from the 1930s and 1940s which continues to tell the story of the strong foundations and resiliency of Atlantic Beach.  These historic treasures are nestled between beautiful 20th century beach homes.  The two-mile racecourse ensures that participants will see and appreciate the rich history of Atlantic Beach, which the community is working to protect and preserve. This race welcomes participants and families of all levels and encourages runners/ walkers/ strollers to enjoy the history, the scenery, and the ocean breeze waiting to greet you at the finish line.

Mark your calendar to help save lives with the American Red Cross! We are on a mission to help patients in need by hosting a BloodLink and your support is needed to make it a success! Join us at a local blood drive to support blood donations in our community and across the nation. Hospital patients are counting on us!

Race Course:

• ·         Begin at 30th Avenue cul-de-sac and head South to 32nd Avenue

  ·         Turn right onto 32nd Avenue toward highway 17

  ·         Cross US Highway 17 and turn right onto 4^th Street

  ·         Turn right onto 29^th Avenue going East

  ·         Turn right onto Seaview Avenue going South

  ·         Turn right onto 30^th Avenue going West

  ·         Turn left onto 3^rd Avenue going South

  ·         Turn left onto 31^st Avenue going East

  ·         Turn left onto Seaview going North

  ·         Make right on Ocean Boulevard back to the cul-de-sac
