AppleBear 5K & Color Run Race Description
This event will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Patton Park and will utilize the beautiful Oklawaha Greenway.
The 5k course is very flat with less than 40’ of elevation change. The course is a well-maintained paved greenway that is 90% shaded. The race will be timed & sanctioned.
The 1-mile Color Run is also very flat & shaded, and is perfect for runners or non-runners, seniors, and families with children. The Color Run is not timed and will be fun for the whole family with great music & lots of color.
All proceeds will benefit the kids at Bruce Drysdale School.
All paid participants will receive an AppleBear 5k & Color Run t-shirt, one color packet, & colorful sunglasses with their registration, plus there will be several “color stations” along the course & additional color packets for sale at the race.
There will be awards for the 5k men and women’s race winners in each of four age brackets; 1-19, 20-39, 40-59, Over 60.
