&Mother MomForward5K 1 Mile & Kids Dash

This Global Running Week (June 1-8), let’s show the world how to support and celebrate mothers on all days beyond Mother’s Day. Join &Mother virtually from June 1-9, or in-person on June 8, 2024 in Berkeley, CA, for the fourth annual MomForward5K! Come hang out with &Mother Founder & Olympic Medalist, Alysia Montaño, while enjoying what (we believe) should be basic family provisions at every event, including a Kids Zone, childcare, and lactation stations. 

The MomForward5K demonstrates the ongoing need for support to help break down barriers for moms to thrive in career, sports, and motherhood. This year’s theme, “Go for Gold”, was inspired by the Gold Standard &Mother is templatizing to make events more inclusive of moms, including this Summer’s Olympic & Paralympic Games.

The sporting world is a demonstrative platform that can showcase what moms are capable of when properly supported. &Mother is shifting the narrative and driving impact, creating a society that values women at every stage of life and prioritizes the holistic health of American families. 

Money raised from MomFoward5K registrations and donations will go to the many &Mother programs that support mothers: maternal wellness education, research, event standardization (lactation stations), gold standards for contracts (maternal protections), grants, and publicizing the stories of real women that are changing the narrative.

[NOTE ON KID REGISTRATIONS: 

• If you have a child(ren) interested in the 5K or 1 Mile Run and you would like to accompany them, please register yourself for those distances as well.
• - If you have a child(ren) participating in the Kids Dash only, only the child needs to register, and parents/guardians do not need to register. 
• - If you have children participating in the 5K/1 Mile Run and the Kids Dash, and you would like to accompany your children, registration is required for the 5K or 1 Mile Run only.]
