Action Run Race Description
Action Run is a 5K Race and Fun Run to raise funds to take the disadvantaged youth of Casa Pacifica, Many Mansions, and Area Housing Authority of Ventura County to their first ever Dodger game in June.
Action Team is a nonprofit organization that involves Major league Baseball players and high school students teaming up to aid and rectify their communities. Throughout the past two months our (once small) club at Westlake High School has grown to close to fifty student members! We have already completed three service projects; one that had us work with Major Leaguer Trevor Plouffe in building a garden and playing with disadavatged youth. At Westlake, we are focusing on providing the kids of Casa Pacifica, Many Mansions, and Area Housing Authority of Ventura County with new opportunities that they have never before experienced.
