On October 10, 2018, the 3rd most powerful storm in American History made landfall in Mexico Beach Florida. The devastation was horrific and spread for 50 miles across the Florida Panhandle. Today these cities are on the mend yet far from being restored.
“50 For Florida” is a 3-year movement dedicated to raising $2M to help support people groups affected by the storm. The storm affected areas are struggling to regain a sense of sustainability and those in positions of taking care of the masses are struggling to make ends meet themselves… help us help them. Space is limited so make plans now to join 500 runners from across the South East on October 12, 2019. Let’s unite as those who love to run and make a difference in the lives of others.
The 50-mile run course passes through the very heart of the storm-affected areas of Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach.
Join us and help make a difference.
CALLING TEAM RELAY RUNNERS & ULTRA RUNNERS
The run course is flat and fast. Seven aid stations are strategically placed around 6 miles apart along the route making it ideal for relay teams of up to 7 members. On average, a 7-person relay team will run a 10K each. Ultra-Runners are also invited to join the action. Adequate support will be available. Two aid stations will serve as designated “bag drop” areas where desired supplies can be submitted and made available along the route.
