3K Superhero Walk for EOE Disease Race Description

EOSINOPHILIC Esophagitis (EOE) disorder is a disorder where the body reacts to proteins in certain foods causing an inflammation response. There is so little known that treatment is often difficult. A. Jay is a 10 year old fifth grader who was born with EOE. At ten, he has committed his life to helping to advance research in the area. He says, it helps him hope that one day he may be able to eat like a normal child again. You see, A. Jay had to have a feeding tube put in  because of complications related to EOE. He is formula fed directly into his stomach, carrying a feeding pump on his back. A. Jay does not get to participate in birthday parties or holiday feasts, no school parties or BBQ's for this little guy. He lives with chronic pain and inflammation instead. Partner with A. Jay and all of us as we support his initiative for a cure for every boy and girl living with EOE.

A. Jay’s fight is a developing foundation, dedicated to the eradication of Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EOE) and the upliftment of children who are facing the barriers EOE causes. Help us fundraise for EOE research at Texas Children's Hospital by walking a 3K in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas!

After walking the 3K, join in fun activities such as bouncy houses, coloring, tie dying t-shirts, face painting, prizes and field games! Refreshments will be provided for all those who participate in the 3K walk.

Interfaith International Council at the University of St. Thomas is hosting the 3K Superhero Walk for EOE Disorder to promote and educate the public about EOE. Any donation or participation in the 3K Superhero Walk for EOE Disorder allows for progression to occur in EOE research at Texas Children's Hospital.

**All money fundraised will be donated DIRECTLY to A Jay's Fight Foundation. A Jay's Fight Foundation directly donates to Texas Children's Hospital EOE Research.**
