2023 Kiwanis Triathlon Race Description

$40 - Short Triathlon
$45 - Long Triathlon
Race include T-shirt, Tecumseh Brewing Co. beer ticket, and Snacks
Shirts may not be available for late registration ( 9/1/2023). $5 extra for same day registration. Late registration location: Tecumseh Paddling Co at 8:00-8:30 am | 9/9/23
A triathlon fundraising event to raise money for the Kiwanis Trail maintenance.
The race will begin with biking at 9:00 am, at the Tecumseh Paddling Company, 703 E. Chicago, Tecumseh. You will bike to Kiwanis Trail and back to Globe Mill Pond, row kayak around Globe Mill Pond, then walk or run to Indian Crossing Trail and downtown Tecumseh.
Short Triathlon (not timed) -bicycle ride will be roughly 14 miles. Kayak is one large lap around Globe Mill Pond. Run\Walk is about 2.39 miles.
Long Triathlon (timed)- bicycle ride will be roughly 14 miles. Kayak is one large lap around Globe Mill Pond and up river a bit. Run/Walk is about 4.54 miles.
Bikes will be supervised and left in the parking lot at Tecumseh Paddling Company with your matching participant number. They will be available for pickup after event. After 12pm, bikes will no longer have a supervisor.
Kayaks will be provided by Tecumseh Paddling Company
Restrooms located in the Hayden-Ford Mill building
AFTER PARTY
After party will be located at Tecumseh Paddling Co.
After party includes one beer ticket, food truck (food will be available for purchase), coffee cart (available for purchase), and vendors.
The short route is a FUN-raising event! There are no awards. This is to have fun and support the Kiwanis trail.
The long route will be timed with awards for top 3 overall.
