2021 Cal Tri Walnut Creek - 8.22.21 Race Description


2021 CAL TRI WALNUT CREEK - 8.22.21,  is located in central Virginia only 12 miles from Charlottesville where athletes and supporters will get the opportunity to appreciate the virtually unlimited list of things to do in the heart of historic Virginia including visiting Monticello, UVa, the Carter Mountain Orchard, James Monroe’s Highland or the many local wineries.

RACECOURSE.  Sprint athletes swim 400 yards in the 45-acre lake followed by a rolling, 16.6-mile bike course with 1,100’ of elevation capped off with a technical 5K trail run.  Olympic athletes swim 1640 yards followed by a rolling, 23-mile bike course with 1,600’ of elevation that ends with a technical 10K run. 

RACE OPTIONS.  Olympic Distance (Triathlon, Triathlon Relay, SwimBike, SwimRun, 1640 Yard Swim & 10K Run) and Sprint Distance (Triathlon, Triathlon Relay, Swim Bike, SwimRun, 400 yard Swim & 5K Run).  There is something for everyone!
