1st Annual Virtual Prineville Hotshot Run

On April 11th, 2021 we lost Lance Honda, a fierce advocate of the wildland firefighter, to cancer.  Lance shaped generations of firefighters as the superintendent of the Prineville Interagency Hotshot Crew from 1997 to 2009. His commitment to the development of those around him will be seen well into the future.

To honor his memory, there will be a virtual run coinciding with his memorial service. The course is up to each runner. You can run it alone or run with a partner. We will be posting optional run routes from previous Prineville Memorial Hotshot runs, so stay tuned to our Facebook Page and look for those updates. Track your time using fitness apps and use our hashtag, #run4lance to post selfies wearing previous race shirts to social media.

All proceeds from the event go to directly support the mission and work of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation as they help families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and to assist injured firefighters and their families.
