Superheroes vs. Villains 5K

EVERY SUPERHERO AND VILLIAN THAT CROSSES THE FINISH LINE RECIEVES A MEDAL!

Are you a Superhero? Or...secretly are you a Villain! Bring your inner Superhero or Villain to the Superheroes vs. Villians 5K! Run/Walk with your friends and family and see who will win! Who will beat who! So come on out all you Superheroes and Villians and settle this once and for all!!

Calling all Superheroes, Villains, and helpless Citizens (a.k.a. those not in costume!) This 5K race will be a classic battle of good versus evil, 5K style!  Dress up as your favorite superhero or villain, (or create your own character,) for a 5K unlike any other.  Join us after for a Superhero Super Block Party full of fun for everyone! This race will be professionally timed by Tortoise and the Hare Racing (www.tortoiseandthehareracing.com) and will be a USTAF-certified, Peachtree Qualifier. It will be stroller and canine friendly. The event is in loving memory of Mat DuVall and will raise money for Compassion International.

TIME, PLACE, AND DATE

The Race will take place on October 15, 2065 at Required* Fitness, near the intersection of Mary Eliza Trace and Due West Road in West Cobb.

Superheroes vs. Villains 5K Start Time: 8:00AM

Superheroes-in-Training Fun Run (Children under 10): 9:00AM

Awards:  9:15AM

Superhero Super Block Party: 8:00AM-10:00AM This is event will be fun for the whole family!

COURSE

The course will be mostly flat with a few small hills on mile 3. A water station will be located at roughly the halfway point.

The Superheroes-in-Training Fun Run will be a short run (approximately 200 Meters) for children up to and including age eleven (10).

We ask that all runners maintain an 18 minute-per mile pace to guarantee course entertainment and other support.  However, there are fantastic sidewalks in the area, so you are welcome to tackle the course on your own at whatever pace makes you comfortable.

THE GOOD STUFF

In addition to feeling like a superhero (or villain) for running an awesome 5K, each runner will go home with the following:

• Goody Bag with gifts and discounts from sponsors
• You get a shirt that only a Superhero or Villain would be proud to wear!
• Every Civilian, Superhero, Villian and Side-Kick that crosses that finish line gets a medal! 
• Registered Superheroes-in-Training will also get a finisher’s medal and children’s t-shirt.*

*We will do our best to get t-shirts And Medals on race day to all runners who are registering on-site.  However, if we don’t know you’re coming, we cannot guarantee that we will have extra medals or a shirt your size, especially for the little ones!

WEATHER

The race will take place rain or shine.  However, if there is lightning or other dangerous conditions that may compromise the safety of the runners or volunteers, the event may be delayed or cancelled at the discretion of the race planning team. Facebook is the best way to stay informed about weather related cancellations.
