Everybody can participate world wide with proceeds helping to ease the cost of storage as we attempt to relocate into a new space (yet to be found!!)
Do you want to help but can't participate in the race? That's ok!! You can help us fundraise by sharing the event.
Once you're registered and ready to start the race, you can print your bib and take some photos of you before, during and after your race.
We can't wait to see all of your faces.

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE?
This virtual race is like any traditional race however, due to the risk of pandemic, you can do it on your own.
You can skate anywhere you like and you can do it in as much or as little time as you'd like until May 31st.

WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO?
Right now our track is in storage here in Long Beach, CA. We are currently paying $567 in monthly storage fees. (It started lower but goes up every year.)
We are working to find a cheaper storage to wait out the rest of the pandemic and raise funds for a new warehouse.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY RESULTS?
Once you receive your confirmation email from RaceEntry.com you can 'Manage your registration'. From there you will be able to manage all sorts of aspects of your race.

HOW DO I GET MY RACE MEDAL?
The first 300 participants receive a glorious running medal to commemorate your support for our fundraising race. We will be shipping or delivering medals and prizes following the completion of the race fundraiser. We expect that to take 4-8 weeks.

SoCal Skate Space Virtual 5/10K Race
I love this concept for fundraising. I walk my buns off anyway, now I use those walks to raise money for causes near and dear to my heart. So Cal needs a place where families can skate, derby can practice and have bouts, lessons, parties, life after covid. Rinks are few and far between, our 562 folks have few options, we need this banked track up and being used! Mimi Masher is the sk8 community soul of this town and we need to support her!!
